GATE- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

GATE

 

It is a national level exam that helps in the admission process of post graduate aspirants in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts.

It is a computer-based test (CBT) and in 2024 it will be organized by IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee), on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI).

Food Technology students can appear for either GATE XE OR GATE XL EXAMINATION.

The score is accepted by all the colleges accepting food technology

The score is accepted score by all the Food Technology colleges except IIT Kharagpur.

Compulsory subjects: General Aptitude; Engineering Mathematics

Optional Subjects (Choose any two): Fluid Mechanics; Thermodynamics; Food Technology

Optional subjects (Choose any two): Biochemistry; Microbiology; Food Technology

 

Eligibility: A candidate of final year of any undergraduate program or has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts.
